When Parliament prorogued in December, the Prime Minister promised to fast track the 2009 budget and to consult with stakeholders, including opposition parties, about its contents.  Canadians were invited to send in their innovative ideas for consideration by Finance Minister, Jim Flaherty, when he drafts the January 27 budget.

Pre-budget consultations have been held throughout the country.  This week, my colleagues and I in the Conservative Caucus met in Ottawa to discuss the feedback we are receiving from Constituents.  We plan to meet again later this month.

Parliament resumes on January 26 with the speech from the Throne but the main event happens the next day when the Finance Minister delivers his much anticipated budget.  Watch this site for updates and details.
